If you’re a Georgia Power customer, today’s edition of GPB’s “Political Rewind” was for you.

The first half of the program features Tim Echols, a Republican member of the state Public Service Commission, who laid out the dilemma faced by Southern Co. over the construction of two new nuclear reactors at Plant Vogtle.

A decision to continue construction, expected to be made by November, could raise your bill by as much as 12 percent.

If you couldn’t catch it live, click below to listen now:

Today’s panelists, in addition to Echols: Host Bill Nigut; yours truly; Edward Lindsey, a former Republican member of the state House; Melita Easters, executive director Georgia’s WIN List; and Lisa Clark, the exiting GPB Radio producer.
