All this talk about Gov. Nathan Deal’s suddenly expanding email list may have given us an idea.

The AJC’s political team is unveiling its new newsletter today.

It’s your link to highlights of our coverage of news from the Gold Dome to Capitol Hill, including our legislative reporting, political features and analysis pieces from your Insiders. There’s also handy tips to what we’re reading in other media outlets and what we’re watching in the weeks and months to come.

Signing up for this will be like signing up for Nunn-Martin's nd Carter's newsletter.

Why bother doing both?

I really enjoy reading the AJC BECAUSE OF IT'S LIBERAL BIAS.  It's been very sad to see the paper move to the right over the past 10-15 years to accommodate the red-tinged numbskulls on this blog.

Not everyone reads the paper but millions of people receive e-mail notifications on their smart devices.  The Georgia Insider to a Georgia republican is like daylight to a vampire. Young and old, not just political junkies, can now receive e-mail notifications via their smart devices allowing them to see what Georgia politicians are doing forcing transparency in this state. They will be able to call a lie a lie in spite of $2.5 million dollar television ads.  Notice how they are hissing and running from it. No @td1234, @Astropig and @EdUktr it's not another new liberal rag as you guys love to call the AJC it's democracy at work via social media, welcome to the 21st century.  Don't you love it?

What is new about this news letter?

You always have to wonder what kind of miserable sad sack lives people lead when they feel the need to trash a place where they've been invited.

Be nice to read your stuff without the sophomoric comments.

Alright!  Have the liberal AJC deliver pro-Mary Nunn, pro-Jason Carter, pro-Hank "gotta save Guam from tipping over" Johnson etc., etc.  propaganda directly to you via email.

Yes! This is a great idea! Instead of having to passively get liberal bias, you can have it actively delivered to your inbox! Go ahead and try it! They might not sell your email address! Trust 'em!

@The_Real_Centrist Do we read the same paper? The AJC doesn't seem to lean any one way or the other for more than a nanosecond. And the editorial page, the one place for partisan opinions, is careful to have both sides represented.

" What is new about this news letter?"

By getting your email address, they can sell you to advertisers. As it is, they can't really tell much by just the number of clicks on a story. Get ready for enough spam to feed every SNAP beneficiary in Georgia.

@MiltonMan And yet you show up everyday to find out what's going on.  You'll probably sign up for the newsletter too because you just can't help yourself.

@MiltonMan It ticks you off doesn't it to have delivered straight to your e-mail box Nathan Deal on a youtube video calling someone's grandmother ghetto.

@Astropig When you're delivering left-wing propaganda, the "push" model always works better than the "pull" model.

On the other hand, by serving as the Democrat Party's local mouthpiece the column daily reveals what fellow donkeys see as winning strategies. Presumably, the paid newsletter will do it quicker.

@NWGAL @The_Real_Centrist    I believe we do read the same paper.  Compare the paper now with that of 15-20 years ago.  It was much more to the left then.  The paper chose to move to the right to accommodate the increasing number of readers who describe themselves as conservative.  The only things that remain of that paper are Mike Luckovich & Jay Bookman.

@Astropig @td1234 Go ahead and squeal little piggy.  You guys claim that the AJC is biased, yet you show up everyday.  So what does that say about you?

@Astropig They have your email address and IP address when you post on this blog.

@EdUktr It allows all the government employees, who may have the IP address blocked as spam on there work network, get their daily talking points.

It gives them a place to go and pretend reality doesn't exist and that if they holler loud enough, trickle down will work!
