YouTube proof that approval for Port of Savannah dredging is near

By Jim Galloway

You want proof that federal approval and funding for the dredging of the Port of Savannah may finally be a done deal?

Yes, we have the bargain that U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson detailed on Wednesday. But now we also have the above YouTube video, posted by the White House two days ago.

Unless they’re ready to hang Vice President Joe Biden out to dry again, that’s a pretty strong signal.

Libs are their demented logic:

(1) Bust Gov. Deals chops for trying to secure federal monies for said port

(2) Praise Mayor "The Impegnator" Reed for "crossing party lines" & working with Deal to get the money

(3) Praise Biden/Obama for the money.

Democrat = The party of APS-educated Bi-Polar folks.

$600 miilion to dredge a river to pose as a port is simply a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money! MONEY CONFISCATED FROM THE PRODUCERS THAT ACTUALLY WORK AND CONTRIBUTE! Why, would you spend this money IF there is going to be a joint GA/SC port built near the ocean in Jasper County, South Carolina? If that money was put toward construction of that port, at least 1/3 of the cost for that facility would be in place, and, would advance and speed up construction and completion of that facility! Savannah IS NOT A NATURAL PORT!

NO, the money is not a federal grant of federal money! Neither is any of the "grants" awarded for the various agenda projects! IT IS ALL MONEY CONFISCATED FROM THOSE WHO PAY TAXES, AND, UNTIL YOU PEOPLE REALIZE THAT WE ARE DOOMED TO ECONOMIC FAILURE AND EVENTUAL NATIONAL BANKRUPTCY!!!

Just like the Keystone Pipeline, Republicans have been blowing a gasket blaming Obama for blocking the process, only for us to find out that the Republican ineptitude has really been the problem.

It doesn't matter how much habitat damage will be done and for how little legitimate reason,........

.......there's money on the table dammit and it comes from the US Taxpayers pocket.

I guess Congress is the one place where prostitution will always be legal.

If we wait a decade, dredging won't be an issue because water levels will rise all by themselves. Thank you, climate change!

@MiltonMan

I thought you delusional conserrrrrrrrrrrrrvative types were interested in proving beyond any vague shadow of a doubt that spending any money was absolutely necessary before coming off the hip?

So what's up when a massive, unnecessary and destructive boondogle like this comes into focus and you guys are falling all over each other to get into the taxpayers pocket?

@NWGAL  Then they can come back in 10-15 years for another $Billion to dredge the port of Macon, or the new Naval Base in Warner Robbins.
