Chew on this.

In Snowden’s own words, this report continues, he outlined to Greenwald the reason for his highly secretive group obtaining and releasing these documents by warning that that there “were actually two governments in the US, the one that was elected, and the other, secret regime, governing in the dark.”

@ RoadScholar -  It is you who is wrong.  I don't lean either way being secular, pro-choice, supporting Common Core goals, voting for both party members (Democrats for U.S. Senator against Isakson and Chambliss, and Attorney General).  I'm considering Nunn for Senate and have at least rejected the far right Republican candidates.

Only last year did Democrats via the Senate push immigration reform.  Where were they when they held all three branches of government under Obama with a veto proof Senate?

Let's see what Obama and Democrats do when they get most of what the Senate bill had - except for their vote pandering citizenship amnesty attempt.

The Centrist: Wrong again. While I lean Democratic, I am a middle of the road voter. I vote for whom I think is the best candidate, regardless of part, race, or affiliation. Something you are not!

As for repub talking points on immigration, it is about time! They have had time since Reagan to do something...why the delay? Now that Hispanics and other immigrants are on the table as a voting force, they decide to "come out of the immigration closet". Such a moving conviction to do what is right! Timely to do what is needed?

But in keeping with direction from Huckabee and others, is this just lip service or what they truly believe and/or will do? Remember his direction for candidates to not really say what they think?

Oh and I'm a second generation grandson of an "illegal" immigrant who worked and served his country to gain his citizenship!

According to the New York Times - Speaker Boehner and other Republican leaders are expected to release a one-page statement of immigration principles this week. The document is expected to call for border security and enforcement measures, a clampdown against the hiring of undocumented workers, expanded guest-worker programs, a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants brought to the country as children, and a path to legal status (green card) for undocumented workers with family ties to citizens or employer sponsors - but not citizenship.

President Obama and other Democrats will not like this since they will not get those future Democrat votes from illegal resident adults - but I support it over the Senate version which can't possibly pass the House.

The 1st medical cannabis bill was passed in 1980 and included cancer and glaucoma treatment. What will happen to these people. Is the pain and surrendering any less important? THC lowers eye pressure and can save eye sight. Who are we to pick and choose who gets the hearing medicine.

@The_Centrist, if you are considering Nunn for Senate why do you cry like a baby every time her name is mentioned in this column?

@The_Centrist "Where were they when they held all three branches of government under Obama with a veto proof Senate?"

Where were the white wingers in 2007 when bush pushed immigration reform:

"Mr. Bush placed telephone calls to lawmakers throughout the morning, but members of his party abandoned him in droves, with only 12 of the 49 Senate Republicans sticking by him on the key procedural vote that determined the bill’s fate. " NY Times 6/28/07.

"their vote pandering citizenship amnesty attempt"  Are you afraid the Dems may take a page from the repuppy's book, with their pandering to the right wing Cuban/Hispanic votes in S. Florida, that has allowed repub ascendency in that state?

@The_Centrist

Where were they when they held all three branches of government...

The Democrats controlled the U.S. Supreme Court?

Not even remotely a factual statement.

First day of that brand new remedial U.S. civics class?

Just askin'.

He knows, Scholar - but he's like a Chatty Kathy doll - he sees an entry on this blog and spurts out 'LIBERAL'.

He doesn't understand what the word means, nor where he fits in the political spectrum.

That path to legal status (green card) will require to pass a criminal background check, pay a fine, pay back taxes, prohibited from welfare/ food stamps/ other citizen supported safety net programs, obtain healthcare, and learn English.

@The_Centrist, how about you point out all the liberal talking points that were delivered during this radio segment.  Back up your words for once.  You spew this stuff then wonder why people laugh at your claim that you are a centrist.  You did watch the segment didn't you?  Surely you wouldn't mouth off without watching it.
